I’ve been using Jamf School at work for 3 years now. This is the first year (2024) in which I believe ALL of our faculty and staff Macs are enrolled in JS. Previously to the 21-22 school year, the school paid for Jamf Pro to manage the iPads for the K-5th graders and used imaging to deploy the Macs. I arrived in 2021, and that summer we began to move our devices and configurations to Jamf School.

I’ve been using the Viofo A119 Plus Duo for about 3 years. Then, our car was totaled by insurance in a minor, not-at-fault accident. This led me to upgrade to the Viofo A229 Plus Duo for our new (used) vehicle.

Installing these dash cams is very straightforward. I plan to enable Parking Mode, so I’ll need a HK4 Hardware Kit and two Add-A-Fuses. However, if you don’t need Parking Mode, simply plug the dash camera into your car’s 12V socket.

For Parking Mode, you’ll need the HK4 Hardware Kit with USB-C for the A229 and newer Viofo models. The A119 Plus Duo uses a Mini USB cable, requiring a different hardware kit.

Finally, you’ll need a high-quality SD card like this SanDisk option. Since the SD card will be constantly writing, it must be an “endurance” card, not a regular one.
